Nature-Inspired Design
Nature has a way of bringing color together effortlessly. I began noticing those combinations more closely in my photography and exploring how they could translate into the home. That exploration became The Nature’s Palette Collection.
Each palette begins with a photograph I’ve taken while traveling, exploring, or simply paying attention to the landscape around me. From coastlines and forests to gardens, skies and stone, I pull colors directly from the image to capture not only the individual hues, but the relationships between them.
Those colors then become a starting point for interior design. Some translate directly into paint, textiles and finishes. Others influence the warmth of a wood, the movement in a stone, the balance between quieter neutrals and stronger accents, or the way materials are layered together. The goal isn’t to recreate the landscape, but to translate what makes it feel cohesive into a home.

NP 001 | Shoreline + Waves
Coast + Water
Photographed on Jupiter Island, Florida, this palette began with layers of color from along the shoreline. Deep blue-green water shifts into softer blue-gray as the waves approach the coast, while the weathered stone introduces warmer sand and brown tones..
Together, the deep ocean blue-green, muted blue-gray, earthy neutrals, and the dark brown capture both sides of the coastal landscape: the cool movement of the water and the grounded, organic character of the shoreline.
In an interior, this coastal color palette can create a relaxed foundation without relying on a traditional beach-inspired look. A soft blue can carry the primary color story, while natural stone, warm wood and woven textures, along with deeper blue and brown accents, bring contrast and warmth.
NP 004 | Grand Sky
Sky + Atmosphere
Photographed at Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, this palette began with the changing layers of color created by the setting sun. Pale blue and soft gray move across the sky, while warm light settles over the canyon and the landscape deepens into blue-gray.
The palette moves from quiet, airy neutrals into layered blues and grounded warm neutrals. Together, the colors capture the contrast between the openness of the sky, the warmth of the fading sunlight, and the depth of the canyon below.

NP 007 | Desert Agave
Earth + Stone
Photographed in Sedona, Arizona, this palette began with the contrast between the cool blue-green of the agave, muted desert vegetation and the warmth of the red earth beneath it.
Soft blue-green and gray-green transition into a deeper green, while terracotta and weathered rust brown bring warmth and depth. Together, the colors balance the cooler plant life with the sum-warmed tones of the surrounding landscape.
In an interior, this palette can move beyond a literal Southwestern interpretation. Muted greens can establish a quiet foundation, while the warmer colors add definition. Natural wood, stone, woven textures, and softly aged finishes can reinforce the connection to the landscape without making the space feel themed.

Coast + Water
Photographed along the Nā Pali Coast of Kaua’i, Hawaii, this palette began with the layers of color moving across the cliffs and water. Warm sand and stone tones shift into weathered gray and blue-gray, while the deeper blue of the Pacific grounds the landscape.
The palette colors balance warmth and coolness similar to the coastline itself. Soft earth tones capture the sunlit cliffs, muted grays reflect their shadowed surfaces, and layered blues bring in the depth and movement of the water.
In an interior, this coastal interior color palette can translate into warm wood, natural stone, and textured neutrals layered with deeper blues. Varied textures and subtle shifts in color keep the palette relaxed and organic, creating a connection to the coast without relying on a traditional coastal look.

Sky + Atmosphere
Photographed in Honolulu, Hawaii, this palette began with the changing colors of a tropical sunset. Soft gray from the clouds gives way to golden yellow, warm sand and amber, while the deepest rust-brown captures the last intensity of the setting sun.
The colors move from quiet and muted to warm and saturated. Golden tones bring energy, while the softer neutrals keep the palette grounded and the deep brown adds depth. Together, they capture the warmth of the sunset without relying entirely on its brighter colors.
In an interior, this warm neutral color palette can translate into natural wood, creamy stone, woven textures and layered neutrals, with golden ochre used more selectively. Deeper brown adds contrast and definition, creating a space that feels warm and grounded rather than overly colorful.

Coast + Water
Photographed at Laʻie Point on Oʻahu, Hawaii, this palette began with the contrast between turquoise water, sunlit sand, green vegetation and the darker rock formations along the shoreline. Soft blue-gray from the clouds quiets the brighter colors and gives the palette balance.
The color story moves between fresh coastal blues and greens, warm sand and a deeper gray-green. Together, they capture both the energy of the water and vegetation and the more grounded character of the rocky shoreline.
